This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operational team at a time of significant change, as we continue to bring key services in-house and raise standards across our network.

About the Role

The Scheduler – Asset Presentation is responsible for ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time to support safe, compliant and high-quality bus and premises cleaning operations. Working within a live operational environment, you will manage daily and longer-term workforce schedules, respond to real-time operational challenges, and act as a central coordination point between garages, managers and frontline teams. Your work will directly support service reliability, asset care and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closely with Cleaning Managers and team leaders across multiple bus garages
  • Monitor attendance, sickness and leave, proactively reallocating resources to maintain service delivery
  • Manage open shifts and staffing gaps, ensuring timely communication and effective cover
  • Update schedules in real time to reflect operational changes and unplanned events
  • Maintain accurate, auditable records of rosters, attendance and shift changes
  • Produce reports and insights to support performance monitoring and operational decision-making
  • Ensure all scheduling activity complies with Health & Safety requirements, working time rules and company policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce overtime reliance and enhance workforce utilisation

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in workforce scheduling, planning or operational coordination
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using scheduling or rostering systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Experience working within a transport, logistics, facilities or 24/7 operational setting (desirable)

Working Pattern

This role operates on a shift pattern covering 11:00–23:00 across a 7-day rota, reflecting the requirements of a live operational environment. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Company pension scheme
  • Free or discounted travel on London Buses and the TfL network
  • Training and development opportunities
  • The opportunity to play a key role in a growing, high-impact operational function

Why Join Us?

This is a pivotal role within Asset Presentation, offering real visibility, responsibility and the chance to make a tangible difference to how our garages operate every day. If you thrive in an operational setting and enjoy problem-solving, coordination and making things run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
