Join London’s Leading Bus Operator – Go-Ahead London is hiring Premises Cleaners. Earn £14.80 per hour. Permanent roles across multiple London locations. Go-Ahead London operates over 2,300 buses from 17 depots across the capital. Premises Cleaners play a crucial role in keeping our buildings safe, hygienic, and welcoming for staff and visitors. About the role:
We’re looking for proactive and reliable Premises Cleaners to join our Asset Presentation team. You’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness across offices, engineering areas, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces — all in line with the Go-Ahead Way (GAW). This is a physically active role and will involve working shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
What You’ll Do
- Clean and maintain all internal areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, kitchens, workshops, engineering areas, and communal spaces.
- Carry out sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising of surfaces.
- Work to agreed GAW schedules to ensure all areas are cleaned on time.
- Use approved cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow all Health & Safety guidelines, including correct PPE use and chemical handling.
- Report any damage, defects, or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report completion.
- Support environmental initiatives through correct waste disposal and recycling.
- Uphold all garage Health & Safety practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience in commercial or industrial environments (desirable).
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with supervisors and garage management.
- Willingness to undertake additional duties as required.
