The Role We are looking for a dynamic leader passionate about operational excellence.
Join Go-Ahead London as a General Manager, responsible for overseeing all garage-related activities, ensuring operational priorities are met, and leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all garage activities and line-manage operations, engineering, and risk functions.
Line-manage the Site Cleaning Manager and the cleaning team responsible for vehicle and facilities presentation, cleaning, yard management, fuelling and powering the electric fleet.
Ensure all buses depart on time, manage incidents, conduct daily fleet presentations, uniform checks and safety audits.
Develop and implement corrective action plans for operational shortcomings.
Engage positively with drivers and supervisors through activities such as pizza evenings and social events.
Enforce driving and uniform standards, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Manage the TUPE process and ensure compliance with Tf L requirements.
Maintain on-site safety and environmental standards, create initiatives to reduce accidents, conduct risk assessments and daily visual checks.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including Trade Unions and the schedules team.
Prioritise safety by adhering to health and safety policies and enforcing garage safety rules.
Lead a high-performing team that supports the delivery of contractual KPIs.
