  • River Road (Barking) – 35 hours per week – 23:00-07:00
  • Camberwell – 35 hours per week – 23:00-07:00
  • Northumberland Park – 35 hours per week – 23:00-07:00
  • Stockwell – 38.5 hours per week (average) – 19:00-07:00

About The Role:

We’re looking for dedicated and reliable bus cleaners to join our Asset Presentation team. Your work ensures every bus meets high standards before entering service. This is a physically active role and will involve working shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out thorough internal and external cleaning of buses (floors, seats, windows, driver cab)
  • Use approved cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow all Health & Safety guidelines, including correct PPE use and chemical handling
  • Work to set schedules to ensure buses are ready for service on time
  • Report any defects, damage, or safety concerns immediately
  • Record cleaning activities using our audit and workforce management systems
  • Support environmental initiatives through correct waste disposal and recycling
  • Follow all garage Health & Safety practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous cleaning experience (transport or industrial environments desirable)
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with supervisors, engineers, and shunters
  • Willingness to undertake additional duties as required
