We are looking for an experienced FFD Engineer to join our team in New Cross. This Monday to Friday role involves ensuring vehicles are maintained to MOT standard. Approximately 500 vehicles are inspected each year.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed vehicle inspections and accurately identify defects and roadworthiness issues.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a busy operational environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including MOT requirements.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while managing and prioritising workloads to meet operational demands.

Qualifications

  • Strong engineering, diagnostic, and repair capabilities across a variety of vehicle types.
  • Good understanding of MOT standards, inspection procedures, and compliance requirements, or willingness to develop this knowledge.
  • Proactive approach to fault finding, problem solving, and vehicle rectification.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with Buses, Coaches, or HGVs is highly desirable.
