Location: Various Go-Ahead London sites
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: From £752.45 per week (depending on shift pattern)

At Go-Ahead London, we’re proud to operate a quarter of London’s iconic red bus network on behalf of Transport for London. With over 8,000 employees across 17 locations, we are London’s largest bus company — and we’re continuing to grow.
We are currently seeking a reliable, organised and proactive Engineering Storekeeper to join our Engineering team. In this vital role, you’ll ensure our garages have the right parts, at the right time, to keep our fleet of over 2,400 vehicles running safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do

  • Issue and receive bus parts and materials in line with company procedures
  • Use our computer-based stock control systems to manage inventory levels and track orders
  • Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to expedite urgent parts
  • Maintain stock levels to match each garage’s vehicle profile
  • Allocate and store goods efficiently upon delivery
  • Serve Engineering staff at a stores counter and support them with parts queries
  • Assist with weekly stock checks and annual audits
  • Operate forklifts to move deliveries (training will be provided if needed)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Travel to and work from different Go-Ahead London sites as required
Responsibilities
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in a stores or stock control role, ideally in an engineering or automotive environment
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with stock management systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The role involves manual handling, including lifting and moving parts. Applicants should be capable of meeting the physical demands of the role, with reasonable adjustments made where required.
  • Flexible with working hours and locations, including occasional overtime
