Go‑Ahead London is the capital’s largest bus operator, running more than 2,500 vehicles across 17 locations. We are expanding our engineering team and are looking for a Heavy Vehicle Recovery Operator based at Stockwell Bus Garage.
Role Overview
In this high‑impact frontline position you will keep the city moving again – safely, quickly and efficiently. You will operate heavy recovery vehicles, applying advanced recovery techniques, load security and roadside safety procedures. The role requires you to remain calm and resourceful under pressure and to solve problems independently while maintaining a professional, customer‑focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy recovery vehicles and execute recovery operations on site.

Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy recovery vehicles (HGV/PSV recovery background desirable).
- Valid Category C+E (Class 1) HGV licence with Driver CPC.

- Ability to stay calm, resourceful under pressure and solve problems independently.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
