Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Martech/Tagging Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, consent management, conversion tracking, event tracking, and digital measurement. This hybrid London-based role sits at the intersection of marketing, analytics, and engineering, ensuring accurate, scalable, and compliant tracking across web, mobile, landing pages, campaigns, and international markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining digital marketing tracking across web and mobile properties, ensuring data accuracy, supporting marketing performance measurement, and helping teams make informed decisions through reliable tracking implementation. Reporting into the Senior Marketing Analyst, you will act as a key liaison between marketing, analytics, product, engineering, and external technical teams. You will help ensure tracking requirements are clearly understood, correctly implemented, thoroughly tested, and accurately validated.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, technically confident, and comfortable working across both technical and non-technical teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Martech/Tagging Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Owning and managing Google Tag Manager across active brands, countries, and markets
- Managing and maintaining the company’s Consent Management Platform
- Managing and maintaining Google Analytics properties across web and app environments
- Implementing and maintaining conversion tracking, event tracking, marketing pixels, and third-party tags
- Ensuring accurate tracking and measurement reliability across platforms such as Google Ads, Floodlights, Meta Pixel, AppsFlyer, SDKs, and app campaigns
- Ensuring tracking implementations remain compliant with GDPR, consent management requirements, and evolving privacy standards
- Maintaining a structured, scalable, and reliable data layer
- Monitoring tracking performance and proactively identifying issues or inconsistencies
You will also be responsible for:
- Acting as the main point of contact for tracking-related issues
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in conversion data
- Debugging tracking across landing pages, multi-step funnels, and cross-domain journeys
- Supporting and maintaining server-side tracking implementations, including S2S, CAPI, and Reporting APIs
- Performing regular audits of GTM containers, tags, triggers, variables, and data consistency across multiple platforms
- Reducing reliance on external engineering teams by independently resolving tracking issues where possible
This role will also support campaign and landing page delivery by:
- Building, updating, and maintaining marketing landing pages through CMS platforms
- Supporting landing pages for channels such as PPC, Paid Social, and performance marketing
- Implementing tracking requirements directly into front-end code where required
- Ensuring pages are responsive, performant, and technically sound
You will work closely with internal and external teams, including:
- Performance marketing
- Business analytics
- Product and engineering
- External technical
- Marketing stakeholders
Key collaboration responsibilities include:
- Acting as a bridge between marketing and technical teams
- Translating business requirements into clear technical specifications
- Validating and QA testing implementations delivered by external teams
- Challenging and verifying technical implementation where required
- Supporting teams with clear communication around tracking, tagging, and analytics requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager, experience working with Consent Management Platforms, and experience building and maintaining Google Analytics are essential. A solid understanding of event tracking, conversion tracking, and data layer structures is required, along with experience debugging tracking issues across web and mobile environments. The ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues is crucial.
Familiarity with cross-domain tracking and exposure to app tracking concepts such as Firebase or similar platforms is advantageous. Experience in performance-driven industries such as gaming, betting, e-commerce, or digital marketing is preferred. Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach, along with a proactive, solution-focused mindset, are essential.
Advantageous SkillsFront-end development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, creative or design capabilities, and experience supporting landing page development are beneficial. Experience with server-side tracking, CAPI, S2S, or Reporting APIs, and experience working in the iGaming, betting, online casino, or e-commerce sector are also advantageous.
