As an Estimator or Senior Estimator, your role is central to the success of our projects. Working closely with Bid and Operational teams, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and competitive pricing for tenders across a range of clients within the Social Housing Refurbishment sector.

Our teams operate across multiple regions, giving you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects rather than being limited to a single location or programme of works. This allows for greater variety and exposure to different challenges and clients.

With ambitious expansion plans over the next three years, we are looking for someone who can help drive our growth through strategic, competitive tendering. You'll be trusted with significant responsibility, supported by a culture that values balance, flexibility, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit accurate quotations, bids, and tenders
  • Issue enquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and evaluate their responses
  • Assist with quantity take-offs for building works to support pricing
  • Assess materials, labour, and plant requirements for tenders
  • Deliver detailed breakdowns and cost substantiations; conduct value engineering to align with client budgets
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to define project requirements and risks
  • Attend meetings with colleagues and/or clients as needed
  • Evaluate commercial and operational risks associated with bids
  • Measure jobs using SMM7 or NRM methodologies
About You:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in Social Housing Refurbishment
  • Skilled in pricing from first principles and cost planning
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
  • Confident managing both large-scale projects and multiple smaller tenders simultaneously
  • Familiarity with estimating software, ideally Causeway or similar
