Day Rate: £475 - £500 (Inside IR35)

Engagement: Ongoing Contract

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to support a major UK infrastructure project in Suffolk. This is a leadership role responsible for environmental compliance, sustainability performance and regulatory engagement across a large-scale construction programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of environmental professionals
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits, licences and consents
  • Drive environmental and sustainability performance across site operations
  • Maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements
  • Manage environmental inspections, audits and monitoring programmes
  • Lead environmental investigations and improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with project teams, contractors and regulators
  • Support delivery of environmental commitments and sustainability objectives

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in an Environmental discipline
  • Extensive experience leading Environment & Sustainability teams on major construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities or engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of environmental permits, licences and regulatory compliance
  • Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience
  • Experience working within highly regulated environments

Desirable:

  • Nuclear, energy, utilities, rail or major infrastructure experience
  • Client-side and principal contractor experience
  • Experience working with environmental regulators and public bodies
  • Sustainability programme leadership experience

Eligibility:

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Package:

  • £475 - £500 per day (Umbrella)
  • Inside IR35

  • 4 days per week on site
