The Opportunity

We’re supporting a growing main contractor who are investing heavily in their high-rise and façade division, with a strong pipeline of work. They’re looking to appoint an Operations Manager to lead delivery on complex, multi-storey projects and play a key role in building out a brand-new regional team. This is a critical hire with a clear route into a Regional Operations role as the business expands.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role, not just office-based. You’ll oversee multiple high-value, complex projects, typically involving:

  • High-rise / multi-storey buildings
  • Cladding, façade and fire remediation works
  • Live environments with challenging logistics (scaffolding, mast climbers, access systems)

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading site teams, Project Managers and supply chain partners
  • Managing programme delivery across multiple sites
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Driving quality, compliance and client satisfaction
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across clients, consultants and residents
  • Supporting the build-out and development of a new regional team

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Background with a main contractor
  • Strong experience delivering high-rise / multi-storey construction projects
  • Proven ability managing large-scale, complex schemes (£10m+ preferred)
  • Experience with façade, cladding, or external envelope works
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong site presence
  • Experience managing multiple projects and teams
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills

  • OR strong Senior Project Managers / Contracts Managers ready to step up

Desirable:

  • Experience working in live environments (occupied buildings)
  • Retrofit / remediation experience
  • SMSTS / CSCS / relevant site certifications
