The Opportunity
We’re supporting a growing main contractor who are investing heavily in their high-rise and façade division, with a strong pipeline of work. They’re looking to appoint an Operations Manager to lead delivery on complex, multi-storey projects and play a key role in building out a brand-new regional team. This is a critical hire with a clear route into a Regional Operations role as the business expands.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role, not just office-based. You’ll oversee multiple high-value, complex projects, typically involving:
- High-rise / multi-storey buildings
- Cladding, façade and fire remediation works
- Live environments with challenging logistics (scaffolding, mast climbers, access systems)
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading site teams, Project Managers and supply chain partners
- Managing programme delivery across multiple sites
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Driving quality, compliance and client satisfaction
- Managing stakeholder relationships across clients, consultants and residents
- Supporting the build-out and development of a new regional team
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Background with a main contractor
- Strong experience delivering high-rise / multi-storey construction projects
- Proven ability managing large-scale, complex schemes (£10m+ preferred)
- Experience with façade, cladding, or external envelope works
- Hands-on leadership style with strong site presence
- Experience managing multiple projects and teams
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills

- OR strong Senior Project Managers / Contracts Managers ready to step up
Desirable:
- Experience working in live environments (occupied buildings)
- Retrofit / remediation experience
- SMSTS / CSCS / relevant site certifications
