GMV is an experienced technology group seeking a talented Intermediate Navigation Algorithms Engineer to join our Algorithms and Positioning Services team in Nottingham. Contribute to developing cutting-edge positioning solutions for autonomous platforms such as driverless cars and drones. Work on high-accuracy satellite navigation systems, improving performance through mathematical algorithms and sensor integration, including vision-based, inertial, and quantum devices.
What challenges will you take on?
Develop state-of-the-art solutions leveraging novel technologies for high-performance, high-accuracy positioning. Be involved in all software development stages, from requirements to validation, ensuring impactful end-to-end delivery. Engage in system performance evaluation and exploratory work on emerging positioning and navigation technologies.
What do we need in our team?
We seek experts with over 3 years of experience in:
- Geo-location positioning or navigation systems (e.g., GNSS)
- Mathematical techniques such as Weighted Least Squares and Kalman filtering
- Precise Point Positioning (PPP), Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) algorithms
- Programming in C/C++, MATLAB, Python
- Algorithm design and documentation
Valuable additional knowledge includes:
- Quantum sensors and technology
- Artificial Intelligence algorithms
- Non-GNSS sensors for navigation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
