Do you want to be part of a consolidated team in the Space and Aerospace sector and take on new challenges? GMV is an experienced technology group that keeps on growing. We are expanding our teams in the Space, Navigation and Defence sector to manage our new edge‑cutting tech projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will form part of a Project Team, working under the direct leadership of the upper management structure of the project(s), providing:

  • Programme consortiums organisation through the whole lifecycle.
  • Contractual set up and workplans definition.
  • Managerial and programmatic control: schedule, risks, deliverables, compliance, payments, contractual.
  • Support the engineering teams in the flow down of technical requirements and technical reviews (design, validation, etc.).
  • Organization and witnessing of Project reviews and technical meetings, including progress meetings, formal reviews and audits, with the subcontractors under your responsibility.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for MSc in Engineering or Sciences with background and interest in Space or similar projects. We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

  • Professional experience in project support, project coordination, PMO activities, project administration, or project control.
  • Experience supporting projects, ideally in international and multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Good understanding of project management fundamentals, including planning, reporting, risk follow‑up, deliverables tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proven experience on project and/or technical management with experience in Systems/SW Engineering methodologies and standards.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management, customers, consortium partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience on Space Ground Control or Navigation projects or similar.

Additionally, the following will be considered an advantage:

  • Experience in the space, defence, or other highly regulated engineering sectors.
  • Experience in international projects.
  • Experience with document management and/or configuration management support.
  • Knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German.
  • Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent will be considered an asset.

This role will require frequent short travel, estimated in average one or two travels per month (1-3 days each). Depending on workplace this could raise to weekly travel (1-3 days each). This role requires a UK national with security clearance (SC or above) or the ability to obtain security clearance. Only UK national candidates that can obtain UK security clearance (UK eyes only) can be considered for this role.
