A key client of ours is seeking a dedicated warehouse operative to join their busy team in Thurrock. This role is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and confident with manual handling tasks. If you are an experienced warehouse operative looking for ongoing work with the potential to become permanent, this opportunity is for you. You must be willing to work hard, show commitment, and go above and beyond for the company when required.
Working Hours:
- 8:00am – 5:00pm (with a one-hour lunch break)
Working Days:
- Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
About You:
- Experience as a warehouse operative is essential, however candidates who are eager and able to learn quickly will also be considered.
- Able to move and lift boxes throughout the day
- Comfortable using or learning a scanning system
- Available to start immediately
- Reliable and able to commute to Thurrock for an 8:00am start each day
- Equipped with safety boots
- As part of the onboarding process, a DBS check will be completed once you start, so please confirm you do not have a criminal record
Main Duties:
- Ensure full compliance with all Company Policies including Health & Safety, Quality, Information Security, Site Security, Environmental, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and People Policies
- Report any Health & Safety, Quality, Information Security, Environmental or Business Continuity incidents or near misses to your Line Manager immediately
- Complete all required Health & Safety and compliance training
- Pick, handle, and store records in the appropriate manner
- Maintain excellent attention to detail
- Picking at height
- Using a PDA for scanning
- Wrapping pallets
- Assisting with unloading MEWP
- PPE must be worn at all times
- Full training provided on site
