Role Description
The Landscape Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Halifax, responsible for overseeing day-to-day landscaping operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
This role includes planning and supervising landscape maintenance schedules, coordinating staff and subcontractors, and managing resources, equipment, and materials on site.
The Landscape Manager will review designs and plans, provide guidance on construction methods, and ensure irrigation and planting work is completed according to best practices.
Daily tasks also include liaising with clients, monitoring quality and progress, enforcing health and safety standards, and providing hands-on support with landscaping work when required.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Landscape Management and Landscape Maintenance, with experience overseeing daily operations and maintenance programs.
- Proficiency in Landscape Design, including interpreting plans, layouts, and specifications for a variety of outdoor spaces.
- Practical experience in Landscape Construction, including hardscaping, fencing, and installation of outdoor features.
- Working knowledge of Irrigation systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and efficient water management.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and site plans.
- Solid understanding of plant care, soil conditions, and seasonal maintenance requirements.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and safe equipment operation.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites in and around yorkshire.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field is an asset.
