GMP Recruitment are exclusively representing an established, ambitious and growing commercial finance brokerage in Wolverhampton, seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Finance Broker with particular expertise in Commercial Mortgages, Property Finance and Structured Lending.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an accomplished broker who understands the commercial lending landscape, has established relationships with lenders and can confidently structure and deliver complex funding solutions for business owners, investors and property developers.
Our client is looking for more than a transactional broker. They want a commercially astute professional who can build meaningful client relationships, originate opportunities and play an influential role in the continued growth of the business.
The Opportunity
Working within a successful and well-connected brokerage, you will take ownership of commercial finance transactions, advising an established and growing client base on suitable funding solutions.
Your primary focus will be Commercial Mortgages, alongside wider property-backed lending and specialist commercial finance products.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Originate, structure and complete commercial mortgage transactions across owner-occupied and investment properties.
- Advise clients on commercial mortgages, semi-commercial lending, bridging finance, development finance and refinancing solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, specialist lenders, challenger banks and alternative funders.
- Manage complex lending cases from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
- Build long-term relationships with business owners, property investors, developers and professional introducers.
- Identify opportunities to expand the brokerage's lending portfolio and commercial presence.
- Provide expert guidance on lending criteria, affordability, security structures and funding options.
- Contribute commercially and strategically to the continued development of the business.
About You
We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Commercial Finance Brokers, Senior Commercial Mortgage Brokers and established Property Finance professionals.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
- Significant experience in commercial mortgage broking, with a proven record of successfully completing transactions.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property lending, refinancing and specialist property finance.
- An established network of lender relationships and an understanding of current lending appetite.
- Experience structuring complex transactions and negotiating competitive funding arrangements.
- Excellent relationship management, business development and commercial negotiation skills.
- A demonstrable ability to generate new business through professional networks and introducers.
- The confidence and credibility to advise experienced business owners, investors and high-value clients.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ambitions to develop professionally and financially.
Experience across bridging, development finance, asset finance or wider corporate lending would be advantageous, although commercial mortgage expertise is the principal requirement.
