GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a long-established, successful, and recognisable Legal Firm located in Gloucestershire. We are currently supporting their recruitment for an experienced Family Lawyer to join their team on a full-time permanent contract.

We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate 3-5 years PQE or more with a highly competitive salary on offer of up to £50,000 per annum, which can be negotiated higher based on experience, working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

Our client has a very well respected and well-regarded Family Law Department and are looking to recruit a self-motivated Family Lawyer on a permanent basis, working alongside experienced lawyers. This is a unique position.

  • You will manage a case load with a minimum of supervision.
  • Deliver good client handling skills dealing with Finances and Divorce and be willing and able to undertake own advocacy in Court on initial hearings and directions appointments.
  • Advise clients on a private basis but to also undertake some Legal Aid work.
  • You will be involved in the direction and growth of our Family Law Department.

Family Solicitor desired skills and experience:

  • You must demonstrate 3-5 years PQE or more preferably dealing with all areas of Family Law.
  • Possess a good general knowledge of Family Law including Divorce, Private Law Children Act Matters, Financial Remedy, Injunctions and Cohabitation Disputes.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Law and the legal context, including resources to maintain continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work within a team and interact effectively with others.
  • Articulate with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to handle a busy and varied workload.
  • Committed to a high level of client service.
  • Proactive and tenacious in seeing to resolve client matters irrespective of their nature.
  • Experience of using legal software including SOS case management, is desirable.
