GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are proud to be partnered with a highly recognisable legal firm with multiple locations across the Three Counties and Warwickshire. Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE to join its well-established Agriculture & Rural Affairs team. With the flexibility to work from Cheltenham, Pershore, Tewkesbury or Stratford-upon-Avon, you'll benefit from genuine autonomy, a high-quality caseload and clear opportunities for continued career progression.
You will manage a diverse and interesting caseload while acting as a trusted adviser to a broad range of rural clients, including farmers, landed estates, rural businesses, landowners and agricultural partnerships:
- Sales and acquisitions of farms, estates and agricultural land.
- Agricultural and rural property transactions.
- Farm business tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act matters.
- Renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage and wind developments.
- Rural diversification projects.
- Working closely with colleagues across Private Client, Commercial Property and Corporate teams to provide a seamless service to clients.
- Developing and maintaining long-standing client relationships through networking and business development activities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Previous experience advising on agricultural and rural affairs matters.
- Strong technical knowledge with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
- A genuine interest in the rural sector and the challenges faced by farming and landowning clients.
