A growing, entrepreneurial corporate finance boutique is looking to appoint ambitious individuals who want to build a long-term career in lead advisory. Rather than operating in the traditional mid-market, the firm advises owner-managed businesses on transactions typically ranging from £2m–£20m.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of client relationships and transactions far earlier than would be possible in many larger firms. Partners are trusted to lead deals from the outset, supported and mentored by experienced Directors, without unnecessary hierarchy or micromanagement. The business is expanding and offers a genuine pathway to senior leadership, including the opportunity to establish and lead new regional offices.

Who We're Looking For

This role is intentionally open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. Previous lead advisory experience is not essential. You could be:

  • Working in Transaction Services and looking for a route into Lead Advisory that isn't available internally.
  • In a commercially-focused role within industry with exposure to acquisitions, disposals, due diligence or strategic projects and a genuine desire to move into corporate finance.
  • An entrepreneurial, commercially-minded professional with outstanding relationship-building skills and the motivation to forge a successful career in corporate finance.

The business places greater emphasis on attitude, commercial instinct and ambition than on traditional corporate finance experience.

The Role

As a Partner, you will:

  • Lead client relationships throughout the deal life-cycle.
  • Advise business owners on acquisitions, disposals and strategic transactions.
  • Develop and manage your own portfolio of clients.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
  • Work closely with Directors who provide mentoring and strategic support while allowing you to own your transactions.
  • Build a personal reputation within your regional market.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A naturally entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Confidence in developing trusted client relationships.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • The ambition to build a long-term career where performance is directly rewarded.
  • Professional services, transaction services, accountancy or relevant commercial experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Reward & Progression

The business operates a straightforward, high-performance remuneration model.

  • Basic salary: £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience.
  • Uncapped completion bonus: Starting at 10% of completed deal fees, increasing to 15% with experience and performance.
  • Typical earnings:
    • 10% Partner: c. £80,000
    • 15% Partner: c. £110,000+
  • No earnings cap, with top performers significantly exceeding these figures.
  • For individuals entering from outside corporate finance, a typical timeframe to reach full earning potential is 6–12 months, supported by structured mentoring and training.

Progression opportunities include:

  • Promotion to higher bonus levels based on performance (typically 18 months–3 years).
  • Director-level opportunities, including leading the launch of new regional offices (typically 3–5 years for exceptional performers).

Benefits

  • Hybrid working.
  • Pension.
  • Life assurance.
  • Private medical support and well-being benefits.
  • Comprehensive mentoring and development.
  • Genuine autonomy from day one.
  • Clear career progression within a growing entrepreneurial business.

Why Join?
