GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners recognised law firm in their search for an experienced Family Lawyer to join their growing Leeds office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE to join an established and expanding Family Department within a modern, progressive and supportive firm offering genuine long-term career progression.
The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload across both publicly funded and private family matters, including:
- Care Proceedings and PLO matters
- Private Law Children matters
- Domestic Abuse matters including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders
- General family law matters including cohabitation disputes and unmarried couples matters
This role would suit a confident and commercially aware Family Lawyer who enjoys building client relationships and wants to play a key role in the ongoing growth of a successful department.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE
- Have strong experience within family and childcare law
- Possess a sound understanding of Legal Aid work
- Be capable of managing their own caseload independently
- Be confident undertaking advocacy
- Have strong communication and client care skills
- Have a proactive and commercially minded approach
- Be willing to undertake networking and business development activities
- Have a following or referrable client base preferred, although not essential
- Be motivated to work towards panel accreditation
