GMP Recruitment are proud to be supporting a highly respected Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners recognised law firm in the recruitment of an experienced Head of Team/Supervising Solicitor to lead their established Family Law team based in Woolwich. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Children Panel accredited Solicitor seeking a senior leadership role within a modern, progressive and growing multi-office practice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a broad range of family and childcare matters whilst overseeing and developing the Woolwich Family Team. The role will include:

  • Managing public law children matters
  • Child protection cases
  • Special Guardianship Orders (SGO)
  • Adoption matters
  • Representation of Guardians, children, parents and extended family members
  • Conducting advocacy
  • Supervising and mentoring junior fee earners and support staff
  • Supporting the continued growth and development of the department

To be considered, applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years PQE (Essential)
  • Strong advocacy experience
  • Experience across all aspects of childcare law
  • The ability to manage workloads independently and effectively
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Previous supervisory experience or the desire to move into a leadership role
  • A following of work would be advantageous
