The Opportunity
GMP Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded, independent accountancy and advisory practice in Gloucestershire to recruit an ambitious Mixed Tax Senior / Associate Manager.

The Role
Reporting to senior members of the tax team, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, providing high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, company directors and private clients.
- Preparing and reviewing Corporation Tax and Personal Tax computations and returns.
- Providing commercially focused advice on a range of tax matters.
- Supporting advisory projects involving business acquisitions, disposals, succession planning and restructuring.
- Assisting with tax-efficient remuneration, dividend planning and shareholder matters.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Identifying opportunities to deliver additional value through proactive tax planning.
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, reviewing work and encouraging technical development.
- Working closely with colleagues across accounts, audit and wider advisory teams.
About You
We are keen to speak with tax professionals who enjoy combining technical expertise with genuine client engagement.
Ideally, you will demonstrate:
- Experience within a UK accountancy practice, working across Personal Tax, Corporation Tax or Mixed Tax.
- ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualifications, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification.
- A sound understanding of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to owner-managed businesses and their shareholders.
- An interest in developing broader tax advisory experience.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in managing client relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach.
Previous experience of specialist sectors or complex advisory assignments would be advantageous, although not essential.
Candidates currently operating at Tax Senior level who are ready to take the next step towards management are particularly encouraged to apply.
