GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a Worcestershire based, independent Chartered Accountancy firm. We are supporting their recruitment for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their team on a full time, permanent contract. We are looking for a qualified ACA/ACCA with experience in general practice working on all aspects of a client’s accountancy and taxation requirements. This position is working Monday – Friday offering a highly competitive industry salary based on experience up to £50,000. Audit and Accounts Senior duties:
- You will be responsible for preparing accounts for a varied client base including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- The role involves responding to client queries promptly and professionally, contributing to several company and charity audits throughout the year, and completing self-assessment tax returns for your portfolio of clients.
- You will work closely with colleagues across tax, audit, and charity teams, supporting collaboration and smooth delivery of work.
- There will also be opportunities to mentor junior team members, identify potential additional services that may benefit clients, and make effective use of technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Audit and Account Senior required skills and experience:
- You will have at least two years’ post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice and be ACCA or ACA qualified.
- You will be confident in managing workloads and overseeing workflows in a practice setting, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of commercial awareness, excellent organisational abilities, and strong time management are essential.
- You will be comfortable working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and responding quickly and professionally to client and internal requests.
