Warehouse Manager

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, internationally renowned manufacturing company, located in Stafford. We are currently supporting their recruitment for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent contract. This position is working Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm with a Friday finish of 15:45pm offering a highly competitive salary of £34,000 as well as a £4k annual bonus, plus additional company benefits such as onsite parking, new updated eating facilities, pension contribution and life insurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations and improvement of the stores department. You will work closely with senior management to agree the goals and improvements required within the team before going away and implementing these changes and will be required to work on your own initiative and respond quickly and efficiently to an ever-changing workplace. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of managing a warehouse or operations team. Warehouse Manager main duties: * Improve operational efficiency through implementation of lean practices and continuous improvements. * Ensure accuracy of stock levels including completing a full annual stock count while investigating and explaining variances. * Set and achieve operational goals and targets that achieve the companies strategic aims. * Monitor and control direct costs such as transport and packaging * Monitor and train the stores team * Report on departments goals and performance to senior management * Agree and implement procedures and ensure teams compliance * Day to day running and management of the stores department Warehouse Manager required skills and experience: * Proven track record of managing a warehouse or operations team. * Confident to come in to a small team and make a big impact with continuous improvement ideas. * You will respond well to balancing multiple challenges and works well in a fast-paced customer focused environment * Strong management skills and ability to delegate work to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse functions An immediate start can be available for the successful candidate.
