We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Tool Setter to join their production team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The position is based at the DUDLEY site, however, from spring 2026 the business will have relocated to their new WORCESTER site so we are looking for a candidate that can commit to Worcester location in the long run.
This role offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience, with structured hours designed to support ongoing production demands. It represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented engineer to ensure tooling is correctly set, compliant, and ready for safe production operations.

Tool Setter Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare coils and run them through the press.
* Produce first-off plates and inspect using nail bend tests and steel gauging.
* Remove, service, change, and clean press tooling as required.
* Change plate sizes and make size adjustments in tools and chutes to meet production needs.
* Assist supervision with tool and coil changes to maintain production efficiency.
* Perform inspection and testing duties on press components and products.
* Segregate defective products and associated wide coil from free issue stock, notifying Quality personnel as required.
* Report all tooling issues to the Tool Room via daily handovers.
* Notify Maintenance of any press line issues using the appropriate communication methods.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in all assigned tasks.
* Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards within the working environment.
* Leave presses in a safe, tidy, and serviceable condition after interventions, including coil, press chute, and full tool changes.
* Remove oil from floors during cleaning and ensure power tools are stored correctly after use.
* Report any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Tool Setter required skills and experience:
* Education & Training: Minimum 5 years’ tool setting experience. (Essential)
* Certifications: ROSPA trained, counterbalance forklift license. Reach truck, overhead crane, and first aid training are beneficial.
* Knowledge: A technical background in press tooling and production processes is advantageous.
* Computer literate.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
