GMP Recruitment are proud to partner a highly successful and fast-growing engineering company based in Willenhall. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experience Production Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract. This is a full time, permanent contract working Monday to Thursday, 07:30am – 15:30pm and Friday, 07:30am – 12:30pm offering a salary up to £45K. The successful Production Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring production plans are executed effectively and on schedule. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Production Engineer will coordinate across Design, Procurement, CNC, Project Engineering teams and suppliers to keep projects running smoothly from start to finish. To be considered you must demonstrate a strong mechanical engineering background with 5+ years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment and apprenticeship trained, ideally HNC/HND in Mechanical or Production Engineering. Indefinite UK right to work is required to be considered. Production Engineer main duties: * Prepare, execute and maintain the production plan, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule. * Coordinate closely with Design, Procurement, CNC, and Project Engineering teams to keep workflows aligned. * Act as the central communication point between departments, suppliers, and senior management to identify and resolve issues quickly. * Monitor progress against project milestones, escalating risks or delays where necessary. * Drive accountability across teams, ensuring actions are clear and commitments are met. * Support continuous improvement in production efficiency and cross-team communication Production Engineer required skills and experience: * A strong mechanical engineering background with 5+ years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. * Exceptional communicator — able to influence and coordinate across departments, suppliers, and senior management. * Apprenticeship trained, ideally HNC/HND in Mechanical or Production Engineering (minimum ONC). * Experience in a fast-paced production setting — able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines. * Proven ability to deliver against a production plan and solve problems under pressure. * Driven, motivated, and proactive — with the determination to get things done.
