Location: Pershore

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 DOE

Our client, a reputable manufacturer in the metalworking/engineering sector, is seeking an experienced Head of Stores to oversee and manage all aspects of stores and materials operations. This leadership role is key to ensuring efficient inventory control, material flow, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a Temp to Perm Role!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all stores operations, including Goods-In, warehousing, stock control, and material issuing.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping using MRP/ERP systems and maintain perpetual inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels and cost control, reducing waste and obsolescence.
  • Enforce compliance with traceability, cyber security, and confidentiality protocols.
  • Oversee the safe storage of hazardous materials and manage site waste disposal in line with environmental regulations.
  • Lead, train, and develop the stores team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards and foster a culture of safety within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and support senior management with stock and stores-related strategies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary Education
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role within the engineering or metalworking sector
  • Hands-on leadership experience with MRP/ERP systems
