Quality Technician in Worcester

Are you a Quality professional with experience using technical measuring equipment like verniers, micrometers and CMM?

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a precision engineering machining company based in Worcester. We are currently supporting their recruitment for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is working Monday – Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm offering an hourly starting rate of £14 p/h.

Our client serves multiple industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, food and military with CNC machining and related services so this is a great opportunity to be part of a successful and fast growing business.

Quality Inspector main duties:

• Inspect machined components using a variety of measuring equipment (e.g. verniers, micrometers, gauges, CMM where applicable)
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Record inspection results and complete quality documentation
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions
• Work closely with production and management to maintain quality standards
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

Quality Inspector required skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Experience using technical measuring equipment like verniers, micrometers and CMM
• Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
• Quality-related qualifications are desirable but not essential
