We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Author to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, to independently produce high-level documentation. You will work hands-on with the machinery to translate complex engineering into clear, accurate manuals and qualification packages. This position is office based, working Monday β Friday 08:00am β 16:30pm offering a salary of up to Β£45,000 which will be pending relevant, previous experience. At PPS, no two projects are the same. Every machine we build is bespoke, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of engineering projects rather than producing repetitive documentation. Unlike many Technical Author roles, you will work directly with our Design, Production and Project teams and see the machinery throughout the build process, collaborating closely with our engineers to ensure that every document accurately reflects the finished equipment. If you have experience documenting machinery, automation systems or other complex engineered products, we will support you in developing the specialist knowledge required for pharmaceutical validation documentation and industry-specific requirements. Technical Author main duties: Producing full documentation packages (Manuals, IQ/OQ, SDS, HDS, DQ, and FDS). Contributing to the department to help streamline documentation processes. Technical Author required skills and experience: Minimum 3 years in a technical authoring role with a technical or automation background. Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent written English and communication skills. Pursuing new ideas and listening to creative suggestions. Experience as a Technical Author, or experience producing technical documentation within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Excellent written English with exceptional attention to detail. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
