GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful and well-known manufacturing business located in Pershore. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is working Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm offering a salary of up to £35,000.

The successful Mechanical Engineer will be building and assembling machinery, including drilling and tapping holes, basic lathe and milling (training can be provided), tuning vibrators and testing the machinery post build.

To be considered it is essential that you can demonstrate proven mechanical experience and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.

Mechanical Engineer main duties:
  • Mechanical assembly, ability to follow technical drawings, capturing any amendments
  • Mechanical assembly of Tablet Counters, Conveyors, Bottle Unscramblers, Tablet Lifts and other bespoke systems
  • Pneumatic assembly
  • Effectively balance workload to adhere to project deadlines
  • Collaborate with production team to solve manufacturing issues and increase production efficiency.
  • Bench fitting
  • Basic level manual Lathe and Milling machine experience
  • Testing machinery, identifying issues and problem solving, communicating with General manager, Team Leader and team members.
  • Working collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Quality focused, stringently adhering to ISO9001 accreditation & 6S standards
Mechanical Engineer required skills and experience:
  • It is essential you have proven mechanical experience
  • A team player, flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Strong problem solver skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience with Manual Lathe and Milling machines is desirable
