An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Management Accountant to join a well-established and growing business. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership of financial processes, and is keen to contribute to the ongoing success and development of the finance function. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Produce variance analysis and insightful financial reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset Register.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax requirements.
- Work collaboratively with departments across the business to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance efficiencies within the department.
- Oversee Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities.
- Monitor creditor and debtor balances, ensuring effective cash flow management.

Skills Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Desirable:
- Experience using Sage accounting software.
- Relevant accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
