Are you a Quality professional with experience using technical measuring equipment like verniers, micrometers and CMM? GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a precision engineering machining company based in Worcester. We are currently supporting their recruitment for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a full time, permanent contract. This position is working Monday – Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm offering an hourly starting rate of £14 p/h. Our client serves multiple industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, food and military with CNC machining and related services so this is a great opportunity to be part of a successful and fast growing business.
Quality Inspector main duties:
- Inspect machined components using a variety of measuring equipment (e.g. verniers, micrometers, gauges, CMM where applicable)
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Record inspection results and complete quality documentation
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions
- Work closely with production and management to maintain quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Quality Inspector required skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience using technical measuring equipment like verniers, micrometers and CMM
- Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
- Familiar with precision measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
- Quality-related qualifications are desirable but not essential
