We are supporting their recruitment for an experienced Employment Solicitor (5–6 years PQE) to join our growing and highly regarded Employment team in Shirley, advising a diverse client base of businesses and individuals across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

The successful candidate will advise on a broad mix of employment law matters, working on high-quality, varied employment projects in a supportive, high-performing team.

Main duties:

  • Advising employers on disciplinary and grievance matters, restructures, redundancies, performance management and TUPE matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to resolution
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements and wider employment documentation
  • Supporting corporate transactions with employment law advice and due diligence
  • Delivering commercially focused, strategic legal advice
  • Supporting business development activity including networking, seminars and client training initiatives

Required skills and experience:

  • 5–6 years’ PQE in Employment Law within a UK law firm
  • Strong technical experience across contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Experience managing your own caseload with confidence and minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, commercially aware approach
  • Strong drafting, organisation and analytical skills
  • A genuine team mindset and ambition to contribute to a growing practice
