My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to play a key role in supporting the financial success and growth of our business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys a varied role, working closely with senior management and contributing to strategic decision-making. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business while providing valuable financial insight, analysis, and forecasting to support future growth. You'll be given autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Financial Operations
    • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Monitor customer accounts, coordinate debt collection activities, and assess new credit requests.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and oversee daily banking activities.
    • Monitor cash requirements and prepare cashflow forecasts.
    • Review and forecast foreign currency requirements.
    • Ensure company expenditure remains aligned with approved budgets.
    • Complete VAT returns and related reporting requirements.
  • Payroll & Compliance
    • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
    • Manage pension contributions, P11D reporting, and year-end payroll submissions.
    • Stay up to date with relevant financial and payroll legislation.
    • Support external audits and provide required financial information.
    • Conduct financial risk assessments and help implement controls to minimise risk.
  • Business Support & Analysis
    • Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful management information.
    • Prepare forecasts and reports to support business planning and decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Manage employee expenses, mileage claims, and company credit card processes.
    • Support ad hoc projects and reporting requirements as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • AAT Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role.

Desirable

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Finance.
  • Knowledge of foreign currency management and forecasting.
