Family Solicitor Care | Bromsgrove Office Based | £50k - £60k This role involves handling a varied and rewarding caseload of public and private children law matters, working closely with vulnerable clients and making a genuine difference to families and children's lives. Key Responsibilities * Managing a diverse caseload of public and private children law matters, including complex care proceedings. * Representing parents, children, guardians, and other parties in care and family proceedings. * Conducting advocacy, attending Court hearings and contested matters. * Providing clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice to clients throughout their matter. * Preparing cases effectively, drafting legal documents, witness statements, and Court applications. * Working closely with clients, Counsel, experts, local authorities, and other stakeholders. * Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal procedures. * Managing deadlines effectively while maintaining exceptional standards of client care. * Contributing positively to a supportive team culture and assisting with the continued development of the department. Candidate Requirements * Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE. * Significant experience handling both public and private children law matters. * Strong advocacy skills with the confidence to represent clients at Court. * Ability to manage a varied caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team. * Excellent communication, organisational, and client care skills. * Professional, approachable, and empathetic manner when dealing with vulnerable clients. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure. Desirable * Law Society Children Law Accreditation. * Eligibility to meet Legal Aid Agency Supervisor requirements. * Candidates actively working towards Children Panel Accreditation or Supervisor Status are also encouraged to apply.
