GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are recruiting on behalf of our client in Evesham for a Paint Sprayer to join their growing and successful team on full time, permanent contracts. This position is working Monday - Friday, 06:00am to 16:00pm, including 1 hour of paid breaks. Total weekly hours: 50 hours. 40 hours at basic rate: £14.00 per hour, 10 hours at premium rate: £21.00 per hour. Due to location you MUST have your own transportation.
The Paint Sprayer will be responsible for the preparation and professional wet painting of agricultural machinery and fabricated steel components to a consistently high standard. This role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong knowledge of industrial paint systems, and a commitment to maintaining quality and cleanliness within the paint facility.
Paint Sprayer main duties:
- Preparing parts to be sprayed
- Preparing and mixing paints prior to application
- Able to understand maintenance procedures for paint application equipment and follow recommended preventative maintenance schedules
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the paint application area
- Checking the finished item meets quality standards
- Ability to use a range of painting machinery and equipment
- Completing inspections and processing records
- Use of wet paint (2 Pack Paint)
- Using industrial low and high pressure pumps
- Conducting product inspection
Paint Sprayer desired skills and experience:
- At least two years’ experience wet painting industrial equipment or large commercial vehicles
- Ability to prepare surfaces to be painted after shotblasting, including cleaning down steel structures and masking
- Clear understanding of the painting process and ability to understand manufacturers technical data sheets and recommended application processes
- Skilled in the application of 2 Pack paints and primers
- Able to obtain excellent high gloss surface finishes and paint thicknesses as required by manufacturers recommended film builds
- Experience of using air assist/airless paint guns and HVLP pot guns
