To support our growing pipeline of work in the Midlands, we are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our commercial team in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects to progress their career with us.
You’ll play a key role in managing project finances, controlling costs, and supporting the commercial success of our developments. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, and the wider commercial function to ensure our projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage day-to-day commercial activities across assigned projects.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontract packages and procurement.
- Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and forecasts.
- Support monthly reporting, including CVRs and cashflow management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Work closely with project teams to support delivery and resolve commercial issues promptly.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
About You
- Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within a main contractor or similar construction environment.
- Strong financial and contractual understanding.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and a commitment to driving commercial performance.
