As we continue to grow in Yorkshire, we are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. You will initially be leading the commercial management of one of our high-profile schemes in the Lincolnshire region.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing tender allowances and preparing internal budgets.
- Collating monthly project reports to be reviewed with your line manager.
- Updating and managing the payment sheets, reconciliation and payments.
- Assembling of costs for forecasting in line with site budgets.
- Preparation of take-offs and bill of quantity.
- Full control of contractual changes which may occur throughout the projects ensuring that you are safeguarding the business from a commercial aspect.
- Managing and reviewing the procurement process, such as raising of orders against the project and processing of application for payments.
- Updating costs across all projects on a weekly basis ensuring that cash flow is kept on top of and reviewed.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working on industrial, high rise multi-room or retail scheme projects.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a Built Environment discipline.
- Ability to form and develop relationships with client, PQS, design team and supply chain.
- Strong commercial skills to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management.
- Competent in understanding financial reports and final accounts.
- Capable of developing commercial site teams.
