We are seeking a skilled Sign Maker/Fitter to join our dynamic team. This role involves fabricating and installing a variety of signs and graphics for commercial and private clients. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret design specifications accurately. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small business signage to large-scale displays, contributing to the visual identity of our clients' brands.

Duties:

  • Fabricate signs using various materials such as vinyl, aluminium, acrylic, and wood, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Operate specialised equipment including plotters, cutters, and hand tools with precision.
  • Preparation of vehicles and vinyl for application of graphics or wrapping.
  • Daily running of printers and laminators.
  • Interpret design layouts and technical drawings to produce accurate signage solutions.
  • Fit and install signs at designated locations, ensuring secure attachment and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to determine project requirements and provide expert advice on materials and design options.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to maintain consistency and excellence.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sign making or related craftwork is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using sign-making equipment such as vinyl cutters, plotters, and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret design specifications accurately.
  • Good physical fitness for lifting materials and working at heights during installation.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation of signs and equipment between sites.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with overtime available at excellent rates + Optional Saturdays
