GMC Utilities Group is currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with strong NEC 4 Option C experience to join our team for one of Ireland's largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects. This is a key strategic role, requiring on-site presence in the Dublin region. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in utility and road infrastructure, with a deep understanding of Design & Build (D&B) contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading civil and utilities company offering excellent packages, including accommodation, for the right candidate.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing commercial aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects under NEC 4 Option C.
- Overseeing cost planning, forecasting, and value engineering.
- Leading contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Providing input to strategic decisions affecting commercial performance and risk.
- Supporting tender submissions, subcontractor procurement, and pricing strategies.
- Engaging collaboratively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Managing change control, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Delivering accurate and timely reports on project financials.
Required Experience and Competencies:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on large infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of NEC 4 Option C contracts is preferred.
- Extensive experience in utility and road infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Design & Build contracts.
- Ability to be based in or travel to Dublin region during the work week.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
