The Role:
GMC Utilities Group are currently recruiting an experienced Civils Foreman to join our growing team on utility and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on supervisor to lead site crews, coordinate works, and ensure safe and efficient delivery across high-profile projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, supervising civil crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure works are delivered safely on time, and in line with project specifications and quality standards.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to coordinate works and resolve site issues.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings in line with company HSEQ procedures.
- Maintain site records, complete daily reports, and manage materials and plant requirements.
The Candidate:
Required Experience and Competencies:
- 2+ years' experience in a civils role within utilities or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of excavation, ducting, reinstatement, and general civils works.
- Ability to read site drawings and coordinate with engineering teams.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage site activities independently.
- Drivers License essential.
