My client wishes to hear from strong Service Transition Analysts to join their expanding IT department
This is a hybrid role and will require 2 days a week in the office - applicants will need to show that they are strong in the following areas
My client is growing its Service Management capability and needs someone who can bring structure, governance, and pace to the Service Portfolio lifecycle.
The successful candidate will ensure new and changed services are support-ready, scalable, and moved into live operation with confidence.
The role will include
Own the Service Portfolio lifecycle.
Drive service maturity and continuous improvement.
Design supportable, scalable IT services.
Create practical support models and Service Design Packages.
Ensure services are ready before go-live.
Lead services smoothly into live operation.
Manage transition plans, acceptance criteria, and readiness.
Spot risks, manage dependencies, and keep delivery moving.
Build trusted relationships across teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Keep communication clear and delivery aligned.
Support reliable product service operations.
Report on readiness, progress, risks, and key metrics.
Help shape Service Design and Transition best practice.
On the skills and experience front I will be particularly looking for
Proactive and enjoy finding practical solutions.
Well organised, plan ahead, with a great eye for detail
Able to communicate clearly and build good relationships with stakeholders.
Comfortable challenging how things are done and suggesting better ways of working.
Able to work well in a busy, changing environment.
Collaborative and confident working with both technical and non-technical teams.
ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
Able to understand ITIL Service Design and Service Transition processes and best practice.
Overseen the move of services from project delivery into live support.
Previously worked in ITIL-based service management environments.
Understand service acceptance, operational readiness, and how to design support models.
Able to produce clear, useful service documentation, operational models, and value-focused metrics.
Familiar with ITSM tools and service delivery frameworks.
Experience working with offshore support teams and third-party suppliers would be a plus.
