The Company The business is private psychiatric practice with experience in psychiatric care that specialises in mental health and neuro-diverse conditions for all ages - anxiety, OCD etc
THE ROLE: To lead the day-to-day running of the clinic, ensuring the smooth, efficient and professional operation of all administrative and clinical support functions.
The postholder will be a proactive all-rounder, combining operational management with hands-on medical administration while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Responsible for: Two Administrative Staff and the day-to-day operational and admin management of the clinic. Supporting 1 full time and 2 part time doctors.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Take overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
- Lead, supervise, train and support two administrative staff, managing rotas, workload and performance.
- Coordinate clinics and appointments for three consultant psychiatrists.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care, customer service and confidentiality.
- Oversee referrals, appointments, medical correspondence and document production.
- Manage billing, invoicing, payment collection and financial administration.
- Maintain electronic medical records using Write Upp and ensure GDPR compliance.
- Monitor clinic performance and implement improvements to systems and workflows.
- Manage suppliers, contractors, premises maintenance and office equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Infection Control, Safeguarding and Information Governance requirements.
- Act as first point of contact for operational issues, resolving problems efficiently
WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Previous experience managing a private healthcare clinic, medical practice or similar environment.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent medical administration and medical terminology knowledge.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
- A proactive, adaptable and hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
