GM Service Engineering Ltd are looking for a service engineer to join our team. The role will be predominately working on vacuum packaging machinery and table top slicers. We serve the butchery, hospitality, meat processing and medical industries across the country.
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
- Repair & refurbish equipment in our workshop.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of equipment.
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product performance based on field feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on-site.
Experience of working with electrics (1 & 3 phase power supply) and mechanical whether it be as a previous role or as a hobby is preferred as this is a hands-on practical role.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm (Includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch).
Must have a full driving license (Ideally clean). Company van (Private use allowed), fuel card, tools & in-house training provided.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (This salary is inclusive of all hours required to perform your duties. No additional payments will be made for any overtime worked.)
On call rota for 1 in 5 weeks (Either overnight stays or emergency call-outs). Monthly retainer of £150 paid in addition to salary (Additional £1,800 per annum to the salary). Emergency call-outs paid £150 per visit.
