Duration: 3-4 months
Overview:
The appointed Project / Site Manager will take full responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality internal fit-out within a highly desirable mixed-use site. The role requires strong technical and organisational skills to manage the site, programme, and subcontractor performance within a complex and tightly controlled working environment.
Scope of Role:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Coordinate all subcontracted trades, ensuring adherence to programme, specification, and quality standards.
- Manage client and stakeholder liaison, including regular progress reporting and issue resolution.
- Plan and control site logistics, including deliveries, waste removal, and access in coordination with the managing agents.
- Ensure compliance with site regulations, noise restrictions, working hours, and all health & safety requirements.
- Maintain strict control of quality to deliver a high-end finish in line with client expectations.
- Monitor progress against programme and implement corrective actions as required to meet tight deadlines.
- Manage workforce planning and site presence.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience managing commercial fit-out projects, ideally within live or regulated environments such as shopping centres or mixed-use developments.
- Strong understanding of site management procedures, health & safety compliance, and permit-to-work systems.
- Demonstrable ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and maintain strong communication with client representatives and estate management teams.
- Track record of delivering high-specification finishes to exacting standards under tight deadlines.
- Must be personable, articulate, and able to represent the contractor professionally at all levels.
- Displays gravitas, sound judgement, and confidence when dealing with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Based within a commutable distance of Central London, with flexibility for extended working hours as required.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and Excel for project tracking and reporting.
- SMSTS & First Aid certification required.
