We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join one of our trusted clients, supporting ongoing site operations. You will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to fault find, repair, and maintain key building services systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of commercial building systems.
  • Work with electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, BMS, PAT testing and emergency lighting.
  • Maintain mechanical plant including AHUs, FCUs, motors, pumps, seals, chillers, and plumbing systems.
  • Complete daily plant room checks, log BMS readings, and respond effectively to system alarms.
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure first-time fixes wherever possible.
  • Support with small installation works and upgrades.
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow permit-to-work systems and health & safety procedures.
  • Liaise with clients and contractors, ensuring professional service and high standards at all times.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and materials used.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • 5+ years experience in commercial building maintenance (mechanical and electrical).
  • Strong understanding of BMS, fire alarm systems, electrical isolations, and PPM schedules.
  • Confident working with HVAC systems including AHUs and FCUs.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused with a professional and proactive approach.

Qualifications & Training

  • Formal qualification in Mechanical or Electrical installation/maintenance (e.g., NVQ or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition qualified (desirable).
  • IPAF training (desirable).
  • Health & Safety trained.
