GM Recruitment are partnering with a long-established, highly respected building contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a prestigious static site in London.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across a high-profile facility. This includes fault-finding, testing, repairs, and ensuring all compliance, safety and documentation standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections.
- Manage and prioritise electrical workload across the site.
- Complete all documentation accurately for audits and compliance.
- Supervise subcontractors on site.
- Ensure all work meets client, health & safety, and legislative standards.
- Support mechanical, electrical and water treatment PPMs.
- Work with BMS systems, including humidity controls.
- Operate effectively within a museum or specialist environmental setting.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 C&G/NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition NICEIC Testing & Inspection qualification.
- Experience working in a Facilities Management environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail.
