Construction Site Manager Industrial Refurbishment Project

Contract: Contract / Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026 – 6 month duration

GM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead an industrial refurbishment project in Haverhill. The role involves managing all on-site activities with a strong focus on groundworks, steel frame construction, and cladding.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations from groundwork phase through to steel frame build and cladding
• Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure high standards of work
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and QS teams to achieve project targets
• Oversee and enforce all Health & Safety requirements on site
• Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and complete risk assessments
• Monitor programme progress and report regularly on site performance

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of groundworks and steel frame building methods
• Experience working with cladding systems
• SMSTS and First Aid certifications (essential)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
