About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Groundworker / Handyperson to join an Estate Maintenance Team at a prestigious London landmark. This role will support the Supervisor and wider team in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance across the estates properties and grounds. If you have a strong background in general building, groundworks, and hard landscaping, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that takes pride in maintaining a prestigious estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general property repairs, including decorating and fabric maintenance.
  • Undertake paving repairs, light groundworks, and upkeep of cobbled and kerbed areas.
  • Maintain roofs, gutters, and hopper heads, ensuring proper drainage and functionality.
  • Work safely at height using scaffolding and towers when necessary.
  • Apply knowledge of Listed Buildings and conservation techniques (desirable but not essential).
  • Provide a high standard of workmanship in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Work Scheduling Team to ensure efficiency and meet KPIs.
  • Represent the Maintenance Team in projects and meetings as required.

  • Proven experience in building, groundworks, and hard landscaping.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach to work.
