GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking a Finance Intern for Summer ****. The Finance Summer Intern will serve as a hands-on contributor to daily operations and special projects. Ideal for an MBA or Master's student in Accounting/Finance, the role provides hands-on experience supporting one or more Finance areas — Accounting, FP&A, Business Intelligence/Reporting, or special projects — based on business needs at the time of start.

Key Responsibilities may include:
- Accounting / Financial Operations: Assist with monthly activities (e.g., reconciliations, financial support schedules) and process improvements; Support accurate financial statements and readiness for reviews; Support analysis connected to FIA Formula 1 Financial Regulations (e.g., Cost Cap–related financial controls and reporting), providing exposure to how Finance operates within a regulated Formula 1 environment.
- FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis): Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles; Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actuals), helping identify drivers, insights, and recommended actions; Support management reporting, business case development, and scenario/modeling work.
- BI & Reporting: Work with Finance and BI teams to support dashboards, KPI definitions, data structuring, and reporting automation; Contribute to improving data quality and clarity in financial performance reporting.
- Special Projects: Contribute to time-bound initiatives, e.g., capital efficiency, cost cap related analysis, software implementations, or financial process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's student in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field (strong undergrad juniors/seniors considered).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling.
- Knowledge of BI data analytics tools and methods is a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; clear written and verbal communication.
